![]() The Institute of Philology is one of the oldest faculties at the University, in 2000 it celebrated its 60th anniversary. During this time more than 10 thousand people got philological education here. The Institute students are trained in more majors - Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Old Slav, English, Franch, German, China languages and literatures and specialised courses. The Institute with dignity fulfils the set task of training philologists for the western region of Ukraine. Its graduates are good experts and provide a high standart of teaching philological disciplines at schools, grammar schools, lyceums and higher educational institutions of different levels of accreditation. ![]() The study of the oldest history of PreCarpathian region is a constituent part of teaching specialists in History. The main sources of information about this time are archaeological monuments. Museum, founded at the beginning of the 1980s, gives an opportunity for the students, pupils, citizens of the town and the region to see the old days of our land. The main collection of the Museum exhibits comprises materials which were found by the students and tutors of the Faculty of History during their work in archaeological expeditions. RESEARCH LIBRARY

![]() The Library book collection is universal, it contains more than 650 thousand printed items in Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, English, French, German, about 20 thousand scores, authors' abstracts of dissertations, dissertations. The Library has 20 readers, 19 thousand of whom are students. The library prides itself on the World Ukrainian Studies reading hall, where there are more than 10 thousand printed items published by Ukrainian emigrants. At present, the Library process are being computerised. |
